Invest in Your Face

During my time as a medical assistant for FHMG (the empire of healthcare in the Central Florida area), I have met some VERY interesting characters. There's the funny patients who make you laugh, the sweet old couple who you can't help but ask how they've made it 60+ years, and the flawless glam gal who wear peep toe pump on the daily as you look disgustingly at your matchy scrub attire. But then there's that lady who you call from the waiting room and second glance at her birth date to make sure you have the right person, how does she look so young!?! This lady was super sweet, donned simple makeup with a cute outfit and says she is 75, yeah and I'm 18! I ask her what her tips are on skincare and what she does to look so young, her advice, "invest in your face". She says she has always used the same cheap moisturizer and makeup remover/face wash, but she has always gotten up and "put on her face" every morning. She explained that she has always...

Blonde Basics!

This post is for a special gal who just needs a little makeup guidance! Being a girl definitely has its ups and downs but the best part, in my opinion, is getting all glammed up and feeling gorgeous! A sweet friend of mine wanted to know what essentials are needed to achieve a basic everyday look that is simple and won't break the bank but leaves you looking like a million bucks! I got ya girl!! My face essentials are also posted in this post but here's the nitty gritty! First off, get yourself a beauty blender! These things are definitely worth the buzz! To use, wet (yes, I said wet as in water!) the blender. This provides a smooth look, so get that thing under the water and squeeze! Then apply your foundation on the largest end for an all over face application and, if needed, apply to the narrow end to get in the smallest spaces like inner eye and around your nose. e.l.f Beauty Blender $5.00 Gives you a smoother look Another girl must have is a really good pa...

This Blonde Does Not Do Mornings!

**This post started the morning of Tuesday but due to a terrible morning and long night at work, is concluding on Wednesday!**   It's only Tuesday... I'm just sayin'!  Being a glutton for punishment, I decided to pick up a dinner shift last night and schedule an appointment across town during morning rush hour for this morning. I've officially lost my mind and feel like I need to duplicate myself, one for day and another for night! Ha! One can dream! Even though I felt as if I needed an endless vat of coffee, I didn't want to appear as such so I mustered all of my energy and slapped some makeup on myself! I used the same palette as I did for the grey smokey eye, but using the pinks instead! I'm a little more obsessed with it than I am the greys but I'm a pink girl all the way!!  Happy Hump Day! When I began writing this post, I was sitting at the airport in Orlando about to take a security test to obtain my badge. I had just acquired a j...

Money Can't Buy Happiness, But it Can Buy Makeup!

It's not hoarding if it's makeup! So, in my usual drugstore search, I discovered a new brand and decided to give some of it's products a go! A few friends and coworkers have suggested it, so I figured why not?! This brand on trial is NYX , it's products: "Pin-Up Tease" mascara, "Push Up Bra" eyebrow pencil, "Super Skinny Marker" liquid liner! This is my current eye routine: I use Younique Moonstruck Fiber Lashes, e.l.f. eyebrow kit, and e.l.f. eyeliner "Kohl" pencil. I used to be a presenter for Younique but selling makeup via social networking was just not for me, however, this mascara is amazing! I am almost out and plan on trying their newest mascara. It is also a two part system, gel and fibers, but it supposed to be waterproof! I use this the eyeliner for the inside of the lower lid and and on the outside of the top lid using the smudger on the end. As for the eyebrow kit, it came with this measly, teeny brush, tha...

Get Your Glow On!

Happy Wine Wednesday!! As I sip my red blend, I get excited knowing that soon it will be white wine season aka SUMMER!!! Wine spritzers, sunshine, being out on the water and longer days are ahead! With all that sunshine comes a little more maintenance to keep skin hydrated and looking amazing all the while preventing serious wrinkles! Whether we'd like to admit it or not, they'll show sooner or later! No thank ya ma'am! I decided to share with y'all a few of the products that I love thus far! Hoping they become permanent summer staples! First off, I use a bb cream and foundation from e.l.f.. I blend two different shades since I have a yellow base to my skin and have gotten a little tan. I apply and use a blending bud, these bad boys are the bees knees! I love this brand! It is inexpensive, sold at Target, CVS and Walgreens! Good for this girl's budget! I love these foundations since they have SPF built-in! They don't clog pores and don't leave a ...
