Thirty-Onederful!

Today I turned 31, it was a different birthday vibe than I usually have. Typically, I get really into my plans and can't wait for the day to come. Maybe it is because our plans changed drastically suddenly or because of the imminent threat of the hurricane looming in the back of my mind. But today ended up much better than originally anticipated! Of course, I needed the birthday Snapchat filter! Our plans were to go to Croom which is a motocross park ran by the state. The property used to be phosphate mines in Brooksville, it has since been used for motocross celebs and locals for enjoyment. Last minute, literally 5 hours before we were supposed to head north, the boyfriend tells me that due to the pain in the rump hurricane barreling towards the east coast they are closing the park. Talk about blonde emoji facepalm, ugh!! Now, I do not ride a dirt bike, heck I barely have the coordination to walk and chew gum at the same time. But I enjoy disconnecting, hiking, and relaxin...

There's Absolutely No Place Like Our Home

Happy 2017 to my peeps! What a year 2016 was, see earlier posts for deets! As with any new year, we are supposed to form resolutions to the coming 365 days. Well, this year I will NOT be participating in the festivies of joining/quitting an organization (cough, cough the gym) or making any new goals as my goals and gym membership with be rolling over from 2016. I will, however, keep my eye on that prize! Bradley and I just got home from our ten-day Georgia vacation, it was so much fun and we made some great memories! We also enjoyed each other, our friends and family, and relaxed! It was definitely needed but now we are ready to get back into the routine of our usual insanity! I will return to work tomorrow, starting with an interview at a office I hope to call home! Brad will tackle the ever-taunting mole rat that is attempting to ruin our lawn that he works so hard at keeping maintained! They are sworn enemies and I have a feeling this may end in a gun fight, literally! Either ...

Monday, You Can Go Fly a Kite!

It's just a bad moment, not a bad week. So, I may have tweaked that phrase but what it all boils down to is that even though I had a crappy couple of hours that it doesn't have to shape the rest of the week. After 2 hours of bad traffic, a crappy phone call admitting that my beloved Michael Kors bag is "lost" in transit, and frustrate moment of emotions, I decided to vent via video. Hopefully some of y'all can relate to watching a good day turn sour in the blink of an eye! Happy Monday....or not! Cheers to a better week and greeting November with open arms! ..xobb

Playing Nice in the Sandbox

Thumper said it best when he said if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all! Recently, someone who I used to consider a close friend got engaged. We had a falling out over 6 months ago and I honestly didn't think it would last this long without us talking but that's just how it has ended up. I truly believe in quality versus quantity when it comes to people in my life. I choose who I want to confide in very wisely, they have a look into your life and that is a very vulnerable area. When this girl and I were close, we talked about being in each other's weddings and going through adulthood together. Our significant others work for the same company so we knew we'd be lifers. Well, as life would have it we had a falling out and I didn't expect for life's events to unfold the way they have. Long story short, her SO offended me one night and since then we haven't spoken. It would honestly be an easy fix but I was truly upset about it so ...

Growth, Perspective, and Silence

"Some days, I can conquer the world. Other days, it takes me three hours to convince myself to shower"- the perfect Pinterest quote! This 27th year has been one of growth and reflection. I truly thought looking at 27 year-old people then that by the time I had reached this point that I would be an independent, sexy, confident woman with this spectacular job and a hardworking stud by my side! Some of this came true, but not much! I've got the stud, that's about it! That being said, I came into this year thinking that I knew who I was, where I was heading and that I had a great man to share it all with. One thing that people normally won't tell you is that when your relationship becomes committed and you're around the other person practically 24/7, they begin to see your flaws and, if you're as lucky as I am, they begin to help you become a better person. One thing that anyone who knows us will tell you is that when you meet the beau and I for the first ti...

Long Weekend, Tired Blonde

Holy cannoli, am I one tired girl?! This weekend is the last busy weekend at work so I worked my bum off! Exhausted as can be! My sweetheart is headed home tomorrow after a week of working hard! Cannot wait to snuggle up! Gag me, right? Ha! No shame in our game!  Our Holiday Photos! (my brunette days, I don't miss it!) So, Friday night consisted of a glass of pinot and a lot of bleach! I decided to tone with more of the ice blonde than anticipated but I believe it came out well! That will be a separate posts with all of those details tomorrow! One thing I have reflected on this weekend was dealing with various personalities and what people expect of you. Whether it is an acquaintance, friend or family, personalities can cause any situation to be laid back or wound like a top! A lovely lady that I work with (also a fellow blogger) and I have become very close; she dealt with my crazy family and I at Disney on Saturday night! I am very blessed to have her! She met my b...

Lil' Tid Bits

Happy FriYay!!    All week I was trying to think of the best ways to show different tutorials. I toyed with the idea of a YouTube channel, I actually have one video currently posted that I need to properly edit. But for the most part, I truly believe that I am currently enjoying just photos so you'll have to be patient until my skills get a bit of fine tuning!  We tend to have "Crest Kid" smiles! I have my Beau home until Monday and then our insanity starts again. Being that this is still semi-new in our household, I still struggle with being alone a majority of the time. I believe that while you're alone, you're forced to face your own demons that normally aren't on the surface. Being busy has been the easiest way for me to avoid dealing with some personal issues. But, as it was evidently bound to, my mind finally place all these things in my focus and I was forced to face them. I don't know if this is just me, but independence has always had s...

Oh, Where did the Weekend Go?

How in the world is it already Monday night?  Time flies when you're having fun! This weekend was busy busy for this gal! I had two of our close friends come into town and we put some mileage walking around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! It was so great to finally see them after too long apart! The only downside, and I don't believe I've mentioned this before that my beau works out of town about 80% of the time. It is a recent position change so we are still getting used to the new routine, this was one of the weekends where I really missed him but I adore his commitment to his career and providing for us! He is definitely a great man! Sorry for the sidebar, lol! My friends will be returning again this weekend for me to meet their little girl, she is a tad too teeny to be out in the crazy crowds! I love that our friends are all having little ones for us to love and spoil! I am definitely that fun, crazy aunt!! My favorite job! There will be photo...
