Pre-Birthday Festivies: Mama & Me

We age not by years but by stories This weekend I am in my hometown of Fort Myers to begin my birthday festivities with my mom! I am a true mama's girl, she is on speed dial for everything from recipes conversions to total meltdowns. She has been there through everything, the older I get the more she becomes my best friend. I think back to the years of slamming bedroom doors and being scolded for curfews and laugh, I would have never thought that the quotes were so true. Now, I don't really know what I would do without her. This weekend, she planned Saturday brunch at a tea room and we did a little shopping! Exactly what I needed! The tea room was amazing!! My little brother even joined in the fun! The tea room was so sweet! For a couple hours, you get two pots of tea and can have unlimited types, we chose chocolate covered strawberry, strawberry kiwi, and ginger peach. You also do a royal tea with a three tiered tray filled with scones and sandwiches! We have to go do t

And My Favorite of These...Breakfast!

The only BS I need in my life is breakfast and squats! Recently while on my usual Pinterest peruse, I stumbled upon breakfast prepping. Now, I am NOT a morning person. In fact, I'm stunned I've gone this long at my new job without being late! Sad, but true! Even though I don't care for the anthem of the alarm clocks, I absolutely love breakfast foods! Pancakes, omelets, bacon (duh!), and of course, COFFEE!!! However, I've been severely lacking in that meal time due to the 5am wake up time so I decided that I would try this breakfast prep for the next two weeks! I'm super excited!! Will be me tonight!! The pin about breakfast was the basis for my prep but I tweaked it a bit to make it my own! One thing I didn't change was the idea to do this in these awesome new "Reynolds" microwavable to go containers! My name is already on it, literally! Found in the tupperware aisle for under $3! The ingredients in this prep are clean, inexpensive and wil

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

It's a gross, rainy, gray, ugly, and boring Sunday! I'm feeling a bit stir-crazy so of course, I sought out my Pinterest as usual! Looking through the fitness section, I stumbled upon this at-home ab workout. I figured why the heck not!! The one thing I despise about at-home workouts is the assumption that you have free weights or a workout ball handy. Not so much in my case or probably everyone else's. This is one of the few without that being necessary. I definitely broke a good sweat and felt it in my core!  I haven't done a workout involving timing instead of reps but it definitely whooped my behind!! A post-workout banana and huge glass of water was necessary!!! I love how this took a little bit of time and took my mind off the boredom. The one part of fitness people forget about is how relaxing and tension relieving it can be! With all this house insanity, I really need as much relaxation as I can get! I saw a post recently on a fitness motivation social

A Budgeted Update!

TGIF!! It's FriYAY and I'm super glad! I cannot wait to sleep in tomorrow! Is it sad that at this is something I look forward to now?! Those 5am mornings get old! It has been a busy two weeks, hence the lack of posts. But I am back now and ready to blog it up!!! Tonight's wine of choice is one I tried on a whim about a week ago from Winn Dixie. My wine taste range from white to red but always on the drier side. A friend turned me on to red blends/ red zinfandel when I first started trying different wines. I have a few favorites but it's always nice to change it up! I love the label on this bottle!! Babe is into watching all the tattoo reality shows so it immediately caught my eye! Secretly, I really want a sleeve lol! Could you imagine?! Fun fact: I have no tattoos! Not a one! I was always too indecisive. One day though, I hope! This red is light and fruity, a little dry but someone who enjoys a smoother taste would love it! I really recommend trying different type
